Jose Mourinho: 'If someone throws a pound coin, put it in your pocket'

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho refuses to condemn fans who threw objects in the Blues' 1-0 win away at Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has refused to condemn supporters at Loftus Road who threw objects onto the pitch in the Blues' 1-0 win against Queens Park Rangers.

Cesc Fabregas's 87th-minute winner in Sunday's West London derby prompted an array of objects to be thrown the way of the Chelsea players, with Branislav Ivanovic appearing to have been struck by a coin.

Mourinho told BBC Sport: "The game was correct in the pitch and correct in the stands. It is not easy in an emotional game.

"If, at the end of the game, someone threw a pound coin, put it in your pocket. If someone threw a chocolate, eat it. It is no problem. Everybody needs a pound."

The result puts Chelsea seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table with seven games of their season to go.
