Jose Mourinho happy with strikers

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho insists that he is currently content with his striking options, stressing that their collective form trumps their individual displays.

Chelsea manager has insisted that he is happy with his current strikeforce, despite the form of Romelu Lukaku at Everton.

Mourinho, who sanctioned Lukaku's season-long loan move to Goodison Park, has come in for some criticism for allowing the Belgium international to leave Stamford Bridge while his other options - Demba Ba, Samuel Eto'o and Fernando Torres - are not firing on all cylinders as yet this term.

However, the Portuguese says that he is content with his marksmen in spite of their individual form, insisting that how they operate with the team is priority.

He told Sky Sports: "I'm happy with all of them, I'm happy with all the strikers. They were not scoring goals, but were working really hard, they doing a really good job for the team.

"There are different ways to contribute, sometimes scoring goals - which is the most important thing of course - but there are other ways to contribute to a team performance and they always did, all three."

Lukaku struck his fifth Premier League goal of the season in the Toffees' 0-2 win away to Aston Villa today.

Eto'o recorded his first league strike in the 4-1 victory over Cardiff City last week, while Torres hit form on the continent, bagging a double in the 3-0 win over Schalke on Wednesday.

The Blues host Manchester City at Stamford Bridge tomorrow.
