David Luiz handed number 30 shirt at Chelsea

David Luiz will wear the number 30 shirt for Chelsea this season, while fellow new signing Marcos Alonso takes the number three.

David Luiz has been handed the number 30 shirt for his second spell with Chelsea.

The Brazilian international completed a return to Stamford Bridge on transfer deadline day, with the Blues paying Paris Saint-Germain £32m to re-sign the centre-back.

Luiz wore the number four shirt, which now belongs to Cesc Fabregas, during his first spell at Chelsea, but has been handed the number 30 for the 2016-17 campaign, while fellow deadline-day arrival Marcos Alonso has taken the number three shirt.

Luiz, 29, initially represented Chelsea between 2011 and 2014 before making the move to PSG, where he won nine trophies.
