Guus Hiddink not concerned by Pep Guardiola's Premier League comments

Chelsea interim manager Guus Hiddink does not believe that Pep Guardiola's declaration that he wishes to manage in the Premier League is disrespectful to other managers.

Chelsea interim boss Guus Hiddink has said that Pep Guardiola's comments about wanting to come to the Premier League are not disrespectful to other managers.

Guardiola will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season and he has said that his next goal is to manage in England.

Chelsea, along with the two Manchester clubs and Arsenal, have been linked with an end-of-season Guardiola move and Arsene Wenger has criticised the Spaniard over his decision to announce his departure early.

Hiddink, though, does not feel that Guardiola is "playing a game".

"I don't think he is playing a game putting pressure on which club or which manager," PA quotes Hiddink as saying.

"The managers are used to that as well. I think it is an expression of desire."

Asked if Guardiola would fit in at Chelsea, Hiddink added: "He would fit in in any big team in the world."

City are odds-on favourites to make Guardiola their next manager.
