Eden Hazard urges Chelsea to improve after failing to win trophies

Eden Hazard insists that Chelsea need to do better next season after failing to win the Premier League or reach the Champions League final in the 2013-14 campaign.

Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard is hopeful that the club can bring silverware to Stamford Bridge next season after failing to win anything during Jose Mourinho's first campaign back at the club.

The Belgium international, who has been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain, scooped a number of personal honours, but the club failed at the final hurdle to clinch the Premier League title or reach the Champions League final.

"This season was an 'almost' season," ESPN quotes Hazard as saying. "Almost in the Champions League final, almost champions in the Premier League. I hope next season it will better and we can go to the next level.

"In the English Premier League you play Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United every week and it's very good, but I came here for trophies.

"This season was good for me, but not collectively because we didn't win anything, and last season we won the Europa League."

The Blues finished third in the league table, four points behind champions Manchester City.
