Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo believes that "exciting" Oscar will provide plenty of options for the Blues in midfield.

Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo is confident that new signing Oscar will be a vital addition to the side's midfield.

The highly-anticipated Brazilian prospect completed a long-awaited switch to Stamford Bridge yesterday.

"He is a fantastic player, one of the youngest to push through to the Brazilian national team and he will be a fantastic signing for us," Di Matteo told the club's official website.

"Oscar is a very exciting young talent, a creative midfield player who scores goals. He will add a lot of options and solutions for us in midfield."

Reports have claimed that the Champions League winners paid in the region of £25m for the 20-year-old.
