Fabian Delph hoping for Chelsea upset this weekend

Aston Villa playmaker Fabian Delph suggests that his side are still capable of pulling off an upset over title hopefuls Chelsea in the Premier League.

Aston Villa midfielder Fabian Delph has insisted that his side are capable of producing an upset when they welcome Chelsea in the Premier League this weekend.

Paul Lambert's men produced a slender victory over the Blues last year to effectively end their title aspirations, and Delph has suggested that his team could be able to impact on the outcome of the league again, despite Villa's current lack of goals.

"It was a great night for me and the team — a much-needed three points when nobody gave us a chance of winning," said the 25-year-old, according to the Daily Mail.

"If I could do it again it would be fantastic. Anything is possible in football, you could have 85 minutes under the cosh and then nick a goal.

"It does seem to be physical every time we play those teams. You are not allowed to tackle as much these days but it should be an entertaining game, they have some great players. It will be a tough night's work."

Delph's Villa side have not scored in over 10 hours of football.
