Chelsea are reportedly weighing up whether to enter talks with their former manager Antonio Conte.
The Blues are allegedly in advanced discussions with Frank Lampard, who is closing in on a return to the Chelsea dugout on a short-term deal.
Appointing Lampard as interim boss would give the Chelsea hierarchy crucial time to complete their search for a permanent successor to Graham Potter.
Julian Nagelsmann, who was recently sacked by Bayern Munich, is one of the names that have been linked with the managerial hot seat at Stamford Bridge.
Former Barcelona and Spain boss Luis Enrique reportedly flew to London with his representative to take part in talks with the West London club.

There is a belief that the Chelsea hierarchy were impressed by Enrique's tactical vision, but they are still considering all other candidates.
According to The Independent, the Blues could be set to make a shock approach for Conte, who recently left his position as Tottenham manager.
Conte qualified for the Champions League in his first season in charge with Spurs, but his time with the club was abruptly brought to an end over the international break.
The 53-year-old was dismissed after launching a scathing attack on his players in a post-match press conference following a 3-3 draw against Southampton where Spurs gave up a 3-1 lead.
Conte also left Chelsea in 2018 amid similar disharmony and had a legal battle settled by an employment tribunal, which resulted in a £9m payout to the Italian.

However, the dispute took place under Chelsea's previous ownership, so it would not prevent Conte from returning to Stamford Bridge.
Conte remains the last Chelsea manager to win the Premier League title after guiding his team to the silverware in the 2016-17 campaign.
In his final season, Conte also lifted the FA Cup following a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in the final, but he was ultimately dismissed at the end of the campaign.
Chelsea, who occupy 11th place in the Premier League table, are currently preparing to face Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
