Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas: "Jose Mourinho was my enemy"

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas insists that he would 'stick with Jose Mourinho to the death' following their successful spell working together at Stamford Bridge.

Cesc Fabregas has admitted that he and Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho once considered each other 'enemies' until they were brought together at Chelsea.

The 30-year-old was in direct competition with Mourinho when with former clubs Arsenal and Barcelona, regularly coming up against the Blues and Real Madrid.

Fabregas insists that any animosity has long since passed, though, having won the EFL Cup and Premier League during his time working under the Portuguese in West London following his 2014 arrival from Barca.

"Mourinho was my enemy when he was in charge at Madrid or Chelsea, competing and wanting to beat him," he told Vanity Fair. "From there I became his player at Chelsea and would go with him to the death. I learned a lot, I have a very positive memory of him. Forever."

Fabregas, who is currently "too happy to change clubs", also won the Premier League under the watch of Antonio Conte last season.
