Yossi Benayoun: 'Chelsea fans are crossing the limit'

Chelsea midfielder Yossi Benayoun feels that a section of fans have "crossed the limit" after targeting him in recent weeks.

Chelsea midfielder Yossi Benayoun has declared that a section of supporters are "crossing the limit" after targeting the Israeli international with negative chants and booing in recent weeks.

Benayoun has come under fire from some Blues fans who are bemused by his involvement in key matches, greeting the playmaker's introduction with audible jeers during last weekend's 2-2 draw with Liverpool at Anfield.

The former Arsenal and West Ham United squad member used Twitter to share his thoughts on the incident and insists that his focus remains on helping Chelsea achieve their targets this season.

He tweeted: "The booing yesterday came from some Small part of the Chelsea fans that doing it in the last few weeks since I did an interview about Torres. There is some other issues that the club is taking care and try to handle them in the right way..as sometimes people are crossing the limit.

"There is some other issues that the club is taking care and try to handle them in the right way, as sometimes people are crossing the limit. And I'm sure the club will sort it,what's important for me is to do the best for the team till the end of the season.

"And try to finish at the top 3 and win the Europa league..and then look for my next challenge for next season."

The 32-year-old has made 12 appearances for Rafael Benitez's side since returning from a loan spell at West Ham in January.
