Mark Hughes: 'Victor Moses could be back before the end of the year'

Stoke manager Mark Hughes expects Victor Moses to be back around the New Year, with the winger having missed the last three weeks with a thigh injury.

Stoke City winger Victor Moses could return to first-team football before the New Year, according to his manager Mark Hughes.

Moses picked up a thigh injury in the home defeat by Burnley in November, and has been receiving treatment with parent club Chelsea.

Hughes spoke to Moses at Selhurst Park, where Stoke drew with Crystal Palace, on Saturday, told reporters that he was optimistic that the Nigerian international will be back soon.

He said: "The (medical) lads had a quick look at him and were happy with how he is. Hopefully, we will get him back the New Year. Or, if not, soon after."

Moses joined Stoke on a season-long loan in the summer, and has scored one goal and provided four assists in the Premier League so far.
