Half-Time Report: Chelsea, Sunderland level

The Premier League clash between Chelsea and Sunderland is currently 1-1 at half time.

The Premier League clash between Chelsea and Sunderland is currently 1-1 at half time, after an exciting first half at Stamford Bridge that could have seen both teams score several goals.

The first chance of the game fell to the home side after just four minutes, when Willian's drive was punched away by Mackems keeper Vito Mannone.

The Blues went on to break the deadlock after just 11 minutes when a Willian corner was met by Samuel Eto'o, who prodded a volley into the back of the net from close range.

Much to the delight of the visiting fans, Sunderland equalised just six minutes later, as Mark Schwarzer fumbled a Marcos Alonso effort following a corner, leaving Connor Wickham to convert the rebound.

On the half-hour mark, Oscar saw his free kick saved by Mannone, while just six minutes later, the Italian shot-stopper thwarted Branislav Ivanovic.

Ramires appeared to lash out at Sebastian Larsson with his arm towards the end of the first half, but it was not seen by any of the officials.
