How did Chelsea's loan players perform at the weekend?

Chelsea have a wide array of players currently on loan at other clubs, but how did they perform for their respective sides over the weekend?

Five of Chelsea's loan players enjoyed success in the Championship on Saturday as Coventry City, Reading and Blackpool all won their respective matches.

Left wing-back Ian Maatsen grabbed the headlines, the young Dutchman netting Coventry's third goal as he and Jake Clarke-Salter helped the Sky Blues to a 4-1 victory over promotion rivals Fulham.

Baba Rahman and Danny Drinkwater have both impressed since their switch to Reading, and the pair played the full 90 minutes as the Royals defeated Cardiff City by a 1-0 scoreline.

Right-back Dujon Sterling has now helped Blackpool to 10 points in his four starts for the Seasiders, who battled back to a 2-1 triumph against Blackburn Rovers.

Elsewhere in the EFL, Henry Lawrence made his eighth League One start of the campaign as AFC Wimbledon drew 1-1 with Burton Albion, while goalkeeper Jamie Cumming featured in a Gillingham side which went down 2-0 versus Wigan Athletic.

With Billy Gilmour an unused substitute for Norwich City against Burnley, Conor Callagher was the sole starter in the Premier League as Crystal Palace hit back from a two-goal deficit to draw with Leicester City.

None of Chelsea's players who are currently plying their trade abroad enjoyed the best of weekends, Michy Batshuayi extending his goalless streak to three games as Besiktas edged out Sivasspor in Super Lig.

Having remained as an unused substitute against West Ham United in the Europa League, Thierno Ballo played 71 minutes as Rapid Vienna beat WSG Tirol 5-2 in the Austrian top flight.

Ethan Ampadu made his first Venezia start, helping the Serie A minnows earn a 1-1 draw at Cagliari, while Kenedy played the second 45 minutes as Flamengo eased past Athletico Paranaense in Brazil.

Matt Miazga played the full 90 minutes in Alaves' 1-0 defeat at Athletic Bilbao in La Liga, and Tino Anjorin lasted just 45 minutes as Lokomotiv Moscow suffered a 2-1 home defeat to FC Rostov.

Finally, young Croatian goalkeeper Karlo Ziger made his sixth start in the Slovenia second tier, featuring for Rudar Velenje who went down 1-0 against league leaders Triglav.
