How Chelsea could line up against Crystal Palace

Ahead of Sunday's Premier League clash between Crystal Palace and Chelsea, Sports Mole looks at how Maurizio Sarri's side could line up at Selhurst Park.

Chelsea head into Sunday's Premier League encounter with Crystal Palace sitting in fourth place in the top-flight standings.

The Blues had dropped below Arsenal heading into their game with Watford on Boxing Day, but two goals from Eden Hazard earned the West Londoners a 2-1 victory at Vicarage Road.

Chelsea have now won four of their last six games in the top flight, although the club sit 11 points adrift of leaders Liverpool.

Maurizio Sarri has a number of selection dilemmas ahead of this weekend's game at Selhurst Park, and here Sports Mole looks at how his team could line up against the Eagles.

Out: Pedro (hamstring), Callum Hudson-Odoi (hamstring), Marco van Ginkel (knee)
Doubtful: Alvaro Morata (knee), Andreas Christensen (hamstring),

Sarri has revealed that Pedro will not feature for Chelsea for at least 10 days, with the Spaniard having sustained a hamstring injury against Watford.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has also been ruled out of Sunday's contest with a minor issue to the same area, and it could lead to Ruben Loftus-Cheek being given a start on the right flank.

Olivier Giroud is also in contention should Sarri opt to move Hazard out wide, while there could also be an alteration in midfield with Ross Barkley potentially coming in for Mateo Kovacic.

Alvaro Morata may be involved in the squad after a knee problem, as could Andreas Christensen who has missed the last two games with a hamstring injury.

However, neither player is likely to be in contention for a place in the first XI ahead of further games during the first week of 2019.
