Karl Robinson tells players: 'Don't get caught up in Diego Costa antics'

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson warns his players not to get caught up with any antagonistic behaviour from Diego Costa when they face Chelsea in the FA Cup fourth round.

MK Dons boss Karl Robinson has warned his players not to get wound up by Diego Costa during their FA Cup clash with Chelsea on Sunday.

The Championship outfit welcome the reigning Premier League champions to Stadium:mk in the fourth round this weekend, with Costa expected to be fit to play having trained with the team despite concerns over a knee injury.

Costa was again in the headlines for unsavoury reasons as Chelsea beat Arsenal last weekend, with Arsene Wenger claiming that the striker intentionally got Per Mertesacker sent off, but Robinson has given his side strict orders to focus solely on the game.

"You can't get involved in the antics. An awful lot of that goes on," Robinson told reporters.

"If he wants to get into confrontation the referee has to do his job and they have to be strong enough to do their job. I will tell my players, 'You don't react, you don't get involved in any of the antics. They're untoward. You play your game'.

"Taking that to one side he's as talented a forward as you're going to get. He's an exceptional talent. We know how good he can be."

Costa has scored six goals in six games for Chelsea since Guus Hiddink's arrival as interim manager.
