Southampton have confirmed that they have recalled striker Sam Gallagher from his loan spell with MK Dons.
The 20-year-old was initially due to spend the entire season with the Championship side having joined them on a temporary basis last summer.
However, the Saints have now opted to cut the loan short, with Gallagher due to join up with Southampton again on Thursday.
Gallagher made 15 appearances during his time with Karl Robinson's side but failed to score a single goal for the club.
The Dons have struggled so far this season and currently sit 20th in the Championship table, just two points clear of safety.
