Chelsea winger Juan Mata believes that his club and international teammate Fernando Torres should be on the plane heading to Poland and Ukraine for Spain's Euro 2012 campaign.
The former Liverpool striker has struggled to get into Vicente del Bosque's Spain side following an inconsistent first full season at Stamford Bridge.
"Nobody at Chelsea doubted that Fernando would score important goals and less so me," Mata told Goal.com.
"He looks in good shape and I remember that he has good games against the Germans. I am not the Spain coach, but I would take him to Euro 2012."
The world and current Euro holders will face Croatia, Italy and the Republic of Ireland in the group stage of this summer's tournament.
