Celtic manager Neil Lennon is confident that striker Gary Hooper will not leave the club in January.
The 24-year-old, who scored twice in the Hoops' 4-0 home victory over Dundee United in the Scottish Premier League on Tuesday, has been linked with a Premier League move this month.
"He will be a Celtic player come February 1, I'm pretty sure about that," Lennon told BBC Sport. "I don't see any reason why he should be in a rush to go just yet and I don't think he wants to.
"He's one of the best players of his age in Britain at the moment. I think he's just getting better and his performance tonight again was of a fantastic level.
"He's just a great player and we want him here. He enjoys it, he knows the environment, he's well-respected by the players and he's enjoying his football at the minute."
Hooper has scored 13 goals in 19 league appearances this season.
