Celtic boss Ronny Deila downplays Kris Commons exit rumours

Celtic manager Ronny Deila reveals that he intends to keep Kris Commons at Parkhead.

Celtic manager Ronny Deila has declared that he wants to keep Kris Commons, amid reports linking him with the Parkhead exit.

The midfielder threw his boots into the crowd following his side's 2-0 win at Hamilton Academical, fuelling speculation that he could be on the way to Bolton Wanderers.

However, Deila insists that he has no intention of selling the player in January.

"He's going to play more for Celtic so he needs more boots," he told reporters. "His contract is out [at the end of] the season so that would be too early to make a signal. We want to keep him."

Bolton boss Neil Lennon, former manager of Celtic, has confirmed his interest in Commons.
