Osman Sow stunner denies Celtic

Hearts striker Osman Sow scores in stoppage time to deny Celtic the chance to go three points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

A stoppage-time strike from Osman Sow has secured a 2-2 draw for Hearts from their clash with Celtic, who missed the opportunity to open up a three-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table in the process.

Both sides scored late in the first half at Tynecastle, yet it appeared that Celtic's Australian midfielder Tom Rogic had secured the win for the away side when he struck 20 minutes from time, only for Sow to intervene.

After their goalkeeper Craig Gordon had been called into action early on, Celtic broke the deadlock in the 42nd minute.

A quick counter-attack landed at the feet of Nir Bitton, who fired a low shot across a diving Neil Alexander and into the far corner of the net.

However, the home side were able to restore parity before the break when Prince Buaben's cross was turned in at the back post by Sam Nicholson.

Rogic's goal, which entered the net via the underside of the crossbar from the edge of the area, seemed destined to earn Ronny Deila's men all three points, but Sow's swerving effort from 30 yards out left Gordon rooted to the spot as it flew into the corner of his net.

The Swede's late impact ensured that the spoils were shared and also ended a run of seven straight victories for Celtic at Tynecastle.
