Neil Lennon wants continued Celtic run

Celtic boss Neil Lennon urges his players to continue their unbeaten run as they open up a 20-point gap over rivals Rangers at the top of the SPL table.

Celtic manager Neil Lennon has urged his side to continue their unbeaten run as they look to clinch their first SPL title in four years.

Wednesday's 2-0 win over Dunfermline was their 16th consecutive victory in an unbeaten run of 19 games.

The Hoops now lead rivals Rangers by 20 points in the SPL table.

"Something like this happens maybe once in your career and they should be proud of it and try to hold on to it as long as they can, that's all I am asking them to do," Lennon told Sky Sports News.

"We could easily have switched off and they could have gone home thinking they had chucked it away but they didn't and I am delighted.

"They have opened up a huge gap in the championship and I couldn't ask any more."

Celtic next host Motherwell in the league on Saturday.
