Neil Lennon hails "exceptional" Celtic

Neil Lennon describes his Celtic team as "exceptional" following an emphatic 4-0 win over St Mirren today.

Neil Lennon has heralded his Celtic team as "exceptional" after the Bhoys coasted to a 4-0 victory at St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership this afternoon.

Charlie Mulgrew and Anthony Stokes fired the visitors into a two-goal advantage following a goalless opening 45 minutes, before a brace from Kris Commons capped an impressive second-half display by the Scottish champions.

"It was an exceptional performance from start to finish. I thought we played very well in the first half," Lennon told Sky Sports News.

"We felt at half time if we got the first goal, we'd go on and dominate the game and that's the way the game panned out."

Lennon's men, who extended their 19-game unbeaten streak with the result, remain comfortably clear at the summit of the league table, with the Glasgow-based club sitting 13 points clear of second-placed Aberdeen.
