Leigh Griffiths: 'Bayern Munich can expect different Celtic'

Leigh Griffiths believes that Celtic will give a better account of themselves when Bayern Munich come to Parkhead for Tuesday night's Champions League encounter.

Leigh Griffiths has backed Celtic to give a better account of themselves when Bayern Munich come to Parkhead for Tuesday night's Champions League encounter.

The Hoops were comprehensively beaten 3-0 by the Bundesliga giants in their Group B encounter at the Allianz Arena on October 18.

However, Griffiths believes that the Celtic Park crowd will give their side a boost and pointed to previous famous home results, such as the 2012 win over Barcelona, as evidence.

"I think the game will be different here, especially with the crowd getting behind us," the 27-year-old told Sky Sports News. "They will roar us on from start to finish.

"You've seen the second half when we were much more disciplined to go and play, we created good chances to score goals.

"If we can replicate the last half-hour we played over there then we give ourselves a good shot.

"It is going to be a difficult night for us but as you have seen previously, big teams have been turned over when they came here."

Celtic currently top the Scottish Premiership table and have gone 62 domestic games without defeat.
