Cardiff City defender Mark Hudson believes that the club's squad is strong enough to compete in the Premier League.

Cardiff City defender Mark Hudson has insisted that the club do not need to make "drastic changes" to their squad before the start of their maiden Premier League campaign.

Cardiff won the Championship title by eight points last season, and Hudson believes that the Bluebirds already have the talent to acquit themselves in the top flight.

The 31-year-old told Wales Online: "There will be a few players coming in I'm sure, but nothing too drastic is needed.

"We have a squad packed with talent and, we enjoyed winning the title, but it's back to business."

Hudson made 33 appearances in the Championship last season.
