Craig Bellamy laments Iain Moody exit from Cardiff City

Cardiff City forward Craig Bellamy believes that Iain Moody's exit is a "huge loss" for the club.

Cardiff City forward Craig Bellamy has lamented the departure of the club's head of recruitment Iain Moody.

The Premier League club announced the exit of Moody on Friday and replaced him with 23-year-old Alisher Apsalyamov, who was on work experience at the outfit in the summer and is a friend of owner Vincent Tan's son.

"It's a huge loss for us because he's outstanding," BBC Sport quotes Bellamy as saying. "Any club with Iain Moody is a miles better club."

Moody joined Cardiff in June 2011 and was responsible for the club's summer signings, including Gary Medel from Sevilla and Steven Caulker from Tottenham Hotspur.
