Wigan Athletic have upset Cardiff City to secure their spot in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
The home side started well and Kevin Theophile-Catherine's cross was just too strong for Jo Inge Berget.

However, the first sight of goal was for Wigan. Ben Watson played the ball wide to James Perch, who shot wide of the target from inside Cardiff's box. The visitors looked comfortable on the ball, but Cardiff were also confident in possession.
The Premier League side were soon behind, however. Jordi Gomez got to the left byline and drilled the ball across the face of goal. Waiting in the middle was Chris McCann, who slotted in from six yards out.
The Latics continued to play some nice football, but the Bluebirds equalised against the run of play. Mats Daehli found Wilfried Zaha in the area, but the winger was crowded out. The ball dropped for Fraizer Campbell, who smashed in a low shot.
Daehli and Zaha then combined again, but the Norwegian was unable to keep his shot down.
Despite appearing to be in control, Cardiff conceded for a second time just before the break. Gomez rolled a free kick to Watson, who hammered his shot in from 30 yards.

The home side were on top at the start of the second half. Magnus Eikrem's corner was headed down by Juan Cala, but no-one was alert to the ball and Ali Al Habsi was able to gather.
There was a lack of quality from both sides after that, but Zaha did appeal for a penalty when he went down in the box following a challenge by Emmerson Boyce.
Daelhi then had a shot deflected over, and Al Habsi pushed away Zaha's low curling effort, but Wigan held on for the win.
