League Two roundup: Chesterfield stay top

Sports Mole rounds up all the action from League Two this afternoon.

Chesterfield have gone four points clear at the top of League Two with 2-0 home win against AFC Wimbledon.

Gary Roberts opened the scoring for the hosts on the half-hour mark and swung in a free kick for Sam Hird to head home eight minutes into the second half.

Oxford United remain second but dropped two points at Cheltenham as they were held to a 2-2 draw, while Wimbledon are third.

Fleetwood Town kept up their push for promotion with a narrow 2-1 home victory over struggling Bury, thanks to second-half goals from Antoni Sarcevic and Gareth Evans.

However, Newport County lost ground after going down 3-2 at home to Morecambe, while Hartlepool United registered an important 2-1 victory over Accrington Stanley at Victoria Park in their fight against relegation.

Elsewhere in League Two, Portsmouth beat Burton Albion 2-1 away, Northampton Town lost 2-1 to Exeter Town at home and Plymouth Argyle suffered a 3-0 defeat against Wycombe Wanderers.
