Burnley boss Sean Dyche after "two or three" new players

Burnley manager Sean Dyche confesses that he is not entirely happy with his playing squad as things stand, targeting at least two more new faces before the window closes.

Sean Dyche has revealed that he intends to bolster his Burnley squad in the remaining weeks of the transfer window with the addition of at least two more players.

The Clarets have quietly gone about their business during the off-season, bringing in Charlie Taylor, Jon Walters and Jack Cork for around £17m.

A number of players have departed Turf Moor, however, with Michael Keane joining Everton in a big-money deal and back-up keeper Paul Robinson retiring, while Joey Barton, George Boyd and Michael Kightly were all released.

Dyche intends to add to his playing ranks in the coming weeks as he is not entirely happy with his squad as things stand.

"There are a couple of spots to fill," he told the Lancashire Telegraph. "We lost four and Robbo retired and we've brought three in, so we're certainly one down from the group as it was and hopefully we'll get two or three in if we can.

"We've got some good business done early, which is very difficult. We are still looking. There are still a couple of situations that might arise so we're on them as well."

Eibar midfielder Gonzalo Escalante is reportedly high on Dyche's transfer wishlist after impressing in La Liga last season.
