Preview: Burnley vs. Huddersfield Town

Sports Mole casts its eye forward to the Championship match on New Year's Day between Burnley and Huddersfield Town.

Huddersfield Town can make it an unbeaten festive period if they avoid defeat on the road at Burnley on New Year's Day.

Mark Robins's Terriers ended a run of two draws with a 5-1 thumping of Yeovil Town on Sunday to climb into the top half of the table at the halfway stage of the season.

Robins is unlikely to tinker with his side too much but could have top scorer James Vaughan available for selection again after missing the last two matches.

Home manager Sean Dyche saw his side drop out of the top two at the weekend as Derby County leapfrogged them into second place behind leaders Leicester City.

Dyche might be able to recall left-back Ben Mee, but if he isn't fit then Daniel Lafferty will continue in his place. On the right of midfield, Michael Kightly should return for Keith Treacy.

In the reverse fixture between these sides exactly a month ago, Huddersfield were victorious by two goals to one, ending Burnley's 12-game unbeaten stretch at the time.
