Sean Dyche calls for Burnley focus

Burnley boss Sean Dyche calls on his team to produce their best form throughout the season, not just against the bigger clubs in the Premier League.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has called on his players to be fully concentrated in all Premier League matches this season and not just the fixtures against the so-called bigger teams.

The Clarets have already beaten Liverpool in the league this season and also ran in-form Arsenal close last time out at Turf Moor, ultimately losing to a stoppage-time winner from Arsene Wenger's team.

Dyche, however, wants his side, who currently sit 14th in the Premier League table, to apply themselves in all matches this season as they bid to survive the drop.

"We know that every team is to be reckoned with in the Premier League. You want your players to rise to every occasion, it is not just about playing the big boys and, quite frankly, it is not always about playing the big boys because we know what market we are in," Dyche told reporters.

"Those big games are bonuses, you beat Liverpool at home and it is really a bonus result in the sense that, we deserved it on the day for different reasons. As many spoke about, the organisational point of view, they obviously dominated possession.

"It is unlikely over a season you are going to win many against those real superpowers in the division so it is important that we apply ourselves to all the games, but in a strange way, not just the big games."

Burnley will host Everton in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
