Burnley manager Sean Dyche is pleased with his side's 1-1 draw with Cardiff City in the Championship earlier today.

Sean Dyche has praised Burnley's second-half performance against Cardiff City earlier today.

The Clarets game from behind to take a point at Turf Moor, drawing 1-1 with the Championship winners.

The manager told the club's website: "We don't know how big it is yet, but it's a big point psychologically against the best team in the division. All I know is we will be not be looking at it like that. We will prepare for the next two games because you have to take care of things yourself.

"Cardiff looked on top of their game and a team playing with absolute freedom as champions. We looked a little uptight, but in the second half we got about them and suddenly it wasn't as comfortable for them.

"We worked hard to get an equaliser and could have, I say could have, won it. Martin [Paterson] has a header under the bar and Danny Ings pulls off a great save from [David] Marshall. But we will certainly take that against the market leaders and overall I am really pleased, although we still have work to do."

The result has left Burnley 15th in the table, four points clear of the drop zone.
