Half-Time Report: Jason Steele keeps Burnley out

Jason Steele had to make a host of saves for Middlesbrough in their first half against Burnley this evening.

Middlesbrough have kept a clean sheet in the first half of their game against Burnley at Turf Moor despite a number of chances for the hosts.

It was the home side that created the first chance of the game, Charlie Austin forcing a save from Jason Steele inside the opening five minutes.

Burnley continued to see the majority of the play in the opening period, having five shots in the opening 25 minutes, while Boro failed the threaten their hosts' goal.

Kieran Trippier looked dangerous for the hosts, with Steele needing to make two saves in quick succession to keep Middlesbrough level.

Austin had a chance in the final seconds of the opening 45 minutes, but the sides headed in level at half time.
