Go Ahead Eagles march towards Eredivisie

Go Ahead Eagles beat Volendam 3-0 in the first leg of their Erste Divisie playoff, while Sparta Rotterdam hold Roda JC to a goalless draw at home.

Go Ahead Eagles have beaten Volendam 3-0 to take pole position in their playoff for a spot in the Eredivisie.

Xander Houtkoop, Jarchinio Antonia and Marnix Kolder scored the goals to put Go Ahead in a commanding position ahead of Sunday's return leg at the Kras Stadion.

The home side will be missing Paul de Lange, who will be suspended after seeing red late in the game.

Meanwhile, Sparta Rotterdam's chances of promotion to the Eredivisie are still alive after a 0-0 draw with top-tier side Roda JC.
