Bristol City complete the signing of former Nottingham Forest winger Paul Anderson on a free transfer.

Bristol City have wrapped up the signing of Paul Anderson on a free transfer.

The winger was released by former club Nottingham Forest at the end of last season after the expiry of his contract, and Anderson has now joined fellow Championship side Bristol City to the delight of manager Derek McInnes.

"He is a player with bags of potential, who knows the Championship with years of experience in the division and arrives at a decent age," McInnes said.

"He has real pace, can play in two or three different roles and is a good addition to strengthen our team and squad.

"He has his best years ahead of him and we've beaten a number of other clubs to his signature."

Anderson scored seven goals in 89 appearances for Forest after signing for £250,000 in 2009.
