Spanish midfielder David Lopez signs a new one-year deal with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder David Lopez has signed a new one-year deal with the club.

The 30-year-old, who joined the Seagulls from Athletic Bilbao last August, had been linked with a move away from the club this summer.

However, it has now been confirmed that the Spaniard will remain with the Championship outfit until at least next summer, with the possible option of a further year.

Lopez scored nine goals in 31 games for Brighton last season.
