Lewis Dunk strikes in injury time to salvage draw for Brighton & Hove Albion

A dramatic injury-time goal by Lewis Dunk gives Brighton & Hove Albion a 2-2 draw against Charlton Athletic in today's Championship clash at the Amex Stadium.

A dramatic injury-time goal by Lewis Dunk has salvaged a 2-2 draw for Brighton & Hove Albion against Charlton Athletic in today's Championship clash at the Amex Stadium.

The away side broke the deadlock in the fourth minute, Igor Vetokele firing a powerful shot from the edge of the box that soared into the Seagulls' net to send the Addicks fans wild.

Brighton came close to pulling a goal back just a minute later, Adrian Colunga teeing up Joao Teixeira, but Stephen Henderson was able to make an acrobatic one-handed save.

Bruno then attempted a shot while lurking at the far post in the 12th minute, but his effort was too high to trouble the opposition goalkeeper.

The home side continued to trouble their opposition and were undoubtedly dominant by the end of the first half, but were also guilty of missing gilt-edged chances, such as Colunga's miss from five yards out in the 39th minute.

Nevertheless, Brighton soon had reason to celebrate when Lewis Dunk headed home in the 67th minute, his goal coming from yet another dangerous set piece for the Amex outfit.

Their joy was short-lived, however, as Vetokele struck his second goal of the match just eight minutes later.

The Angolan international latched on to a Simon Church cross, weaved his way past the Seagulls defence and struck a powerful shot to put the away side back in the lead.

Charlton almost scored a third towards the end of the match, but Andre Bikey's header flew wide.

It was a miss his side would come to rue, because in the 93rd minute, Kazenga LuaLua's ambitious cross fell to Dunk, who headed the ball into the away side's net and send the Amex Stadium into raptures.
