Gus Poyet ecstatic with Brighton & Hove Albion win

Brighton boss Gus Poyet claims that Sunday's win over Crystal Palace in the Championship is the best day of his career.

Brighton & Hove Albion manager Gus Poyet has claimed that the 3-0 win over Crystal Palace in the Championship on Sunday made it the best day of his career.

The Seagulls ran out comfortable winners against their rivals at the Amex Stadium with only goal difference now keeping them out of the playoff places.

"The day we went up from League One was special, but this is the best day by far," Poyet told Sky Sports News.

"I become a fan of the club I am working at or playing for, it's how I am.

"This was a day to stop time and stay here forever. I would like it to be the last game of the season, or a last at a club, or the last of your career."

Brighton continue their league campaign on Saturday when they travel to promotion rivals Nottingham Forest.
