Gary Rowett sends out warning to unbeaten Brighton & Hove Albion

Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett admits that his side will have to be at their best to trouble Brighton, but is confident that they can do exactly that at The Amex.

Gary Rowett has warned Brighton & Hove Albion that they face one of their toughest tests yet when his Birmingham City side visit the Amex Stadium.

The Seagulls head into Saturday afternoon's clash sitting in an automatic promotion spot following an impressive 17-game unbeaten start to the campaign.

Birmingham may have dropped more points than they would have liked of late, meanwhile, taking just four from the last 15 on offer, but Rowett's charges currently boast the best away record in the second tier.

Speaking to the club's official website, the Englishman said: "Other clubs you can look at them and say they've got some fantastic individuals that can beat you.

"I think what Brighton offer you is a very organised team, that of course as we know have remained unbeaten for this long period. We're certainly going to have to go there and be very hard to beat. We're certainly going to have to go there and to try to exploit certain things in a very good Brighton side.

"Ultimately we know it's a tough game, but I would hope they would be looking at us with the best away form in the division. It's certainly not going to be easy for them either."

Birmingham find themselves seven points behind Brighton in a congested Championship, where they currently occupy the final playoff berth in the table.
