Mark Warburton frustrated with late Derby County leveller

Brentford boss Mark Warburton admits that he was disppointed with his side as they conceded a late equaliser to Derby County to miss out on a win at the iPro Stadium.

Brentford boss Mark Warburton has revealed his frustration as his side missed out on victory over Derby County due to Darren Bent's late strike at the iPro Stadium.

The Bees took the lead in the first half through Alex Pritchard and looked set to secure an important win over their promotion rivals in the race for the playoffs before Bent turned the ball home from close range in stoppage time.

"There have been heated words said in the dressing room but that shows you how far we've come to come to Derby and only get one point and be disappointed," Warburton told Sky Sports News.

"We've got where we are by playing the game our way and we should have been two or three up. We dealt with their threat, we played good football and they had to change their formation. We kept our width and played well and it's a real frustration.

"It was a professional showing from the players and they are winners. They have been brave, they took responsibility, they were quick to deal with the football. I am very proud of them and I hope the fans are proud of them but the overriding frustration is that we didn't get the win."

Brentford dropped out of the playoff places into seventh place in the Championship as a result of their draw against Derby.
