Cafu: 'Neymar could go down as one of Brazil's greatest ever'

All-time leading Brazil appearance-maker Cafu tells Sports Mole that Neymar has everything he needs to become one of his country's greatest ever players.

Former Brazil full-back Cafu has insisted that Neymar has all of the tools to go down as one of his country's greatest ever players.

The 27-year-old is already just four games short of reaching 100 caps for the five-time World Cup winners, while his tally of 60 international goals places him behind only Pele and Ronaldo in the list of Brazil's all-time leading goalscorers.

Many would argue that Neymar is already regarded as a Brazilian legend, but Cafu believes that the Paris Saint-Germain attacker needs to win trophies at international level before he is regarded as one of the best - beginning with the Copa America on home soil later this year.

"They have so many legends in football but he definitely could become one of them. They need to win, basically. They are so good and they need to make a mark against the other teams," Cafu told Sports Mole.

"At this moment we're not 100% sure on his physical condition but if he is 100% then it will strengthen the team [for the Copa America].

"This team is very good and it's not going to be an easy Copa but we've got every chance to win and we've got every chance to train ready for the World Cup."

Neymar's only international trophy with Brazil so far is the 2013 Confederations Cup.
