Bournemouth have reportedly made an enquiry with Atalanta BC regarding the availability of their goalkeeper Marco Sportiello.
Manager Eddie Howe currently has two senior keepers at his disposal, but both Artur Boruc and Adam Federici have made a string of errors this season.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, 23-year-old Sportiello is the player that Howe has identified to ease his problems between the posts.
However, the report adds that the Cherries may be put off by Atalanta's £7m valuation of the custodian, who has saved three of the four penalties that he has faced this season.
It is believed that Roma have also been monitoring Sportiello's development over recent months.
