Bournemouth sign Artur Boruc on free transfer

Artur Boruc completes a permanent switch to Bournemouth on a free transfer after being released by Southampton.

Bournemouth have completed the permanent signing of goalkeeper Artur Boruc on a free transfer, following his release by Southampton.

The 35-year-old spent last season on loan to the Cherries, helping them to win promotion to the Premier League as Championship title winners.

Boruc becomes Bournemouth's first summer signing as they prepare for their debut season in the top flight.

The Poland international, who was released by the Saints on Tuesday, has put pen to paper on a one-year deal at the Goldsands Stadium, with the option for a further 12 months.

Boruc made 39 appearances for Bournemouth in all competitions last term.
