Bournemouth striker Callum Wilson likely out of Easter fixtures

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe would reportedly be surprised if Callum Wilson is fit for the upcoming Easter fixtures against Ipswich Town and Birmingham City.

Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has revealed that Callum Wilson is likely to miss the Cherries' two games over the Easter weekend.

Wilson injured himself in Bournemouth's last game - a 3-0 win over Championship promotion rivals Middlesbrough - and had to pull out of the England Under-21s squad for last night's game against Germany.

According to BBC Radio Solent Sport, Howe would be "surprised" if Wilson were fit for the matches away at Ipswich Town on Good Friday and at home to Birmingham City on Easter Monday.

If Wilson does have to sit out, it will open the door for new loan signing Kenwyne Jones to start.
