Team News: Granit Xhaka returns for Borussia Monchengladbach

Borussia Monchengladbach captain Granit Xhaka returns to his side's starting XI for their Champions League Group D match against Sevilla.

Borussia Monchengladbach captain Granit Xhaka has returned to his side's starting XI for tonight's Champions League Group D match against Sevilla.

The 23-year-old, who earlier this week dismissed speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool, comes straight back into the side after serving a suspension.

Top scorers Lars Stindl and Raffael continue to spearhead the German side's attack ahead of Ibrahima Traore and Fabian Johnson as they look to move ahead in the race for third spot in the group and a spot in the Europa League knockout round.

For Sevilla, who need to win both remaining group games to have any chance of progressing to the last 16, there are six changes.

Amongst those, former Arsenal midfielder Jose Antonio Reyes and ex-Stoke City man Steven N'Zonzi drop out with Ever Banega and Yevhen Konoplyanka coming in, and Kevin Gameiro replaces Ciro Immobile up front.

Borussia Monchengladbach: Sommer; Korb, Christensen, Wendt, Nordtveit; Dahoud, Xhaka, Johnson, Traore; Raffael, Stindl
Subs: Sippel, Schulz, Jantschke, Elvedi, Hazard, Drmic, Hrgota

Sevilla: Rico; Coke, Rami, Kolo, Tremoulinas; Krychowiak, Krohn-Delhi, Banega; Konoplyanka, Vitolo; Gameiro
Subs: Soria, Escudero, Ferreira, Iborra, N'Zonzi, Immobile, Llorente
