Filip Daems glad for Bundesliga return

Filip Daems is glad that Borussia Monchengladbach can now return to domestic football following the international break.

Borussia Monchengladbach right-back Filip Daems has admitted that it will be good to get back to domestic action following the international break.

Daems said that it was important for the team to win before the international break and now hopes that they can maintain their form against Hertha Berlin on Saturday.

"Our international players were successful, but right now it's Bundesliga time," ESPN quotes Daems as saying. "The Bundesliga is something completely different.

"It's part of the game: next month there is another international break. It's always nice to win your last game before the internationals as we did last time against Borussia Dortmund.

"Now we can look forward and relax for the next two weeks and look forward that the Bundesliga is starting again."

Daems played seven times for Belgium between 2004 and 2009.
