Shinji Kagawa could make Borussia Dortmund comeback against Freiburg

Borussia Dortmund could call on Shinji Kagawa this weekend following injuries to several players.

Shinji Kagawa is on course to make his first start for Borussia Dortmund since rejoining the club from Manchester United this summer.

The Japan international was not expected to line up against Freiburg this weekend, but an injury to Marco Reus has forced manager Jurgen Klopp to rethink his midfield.

"We cannot wait a few more weeks. Shinji is now very important to us," Klopp told Kicker. "He has impressed in training but will need time to find his form from two years ago."

Klopp is facing a mounting injury crisis in midfield, with Nuri Sahin and Ilkay Gundogan also sidelined at present.
