Half-Time Report: Mainz, Borussia Dortmund goalless at the break

Mainz 05 and Borussia Dortmund fail to score in the first half of their match and go in goalless.

Mainz 05 and Borussia Dortmund are level at 0-0 at half time in their Bundesliga game.

It was a slow start to the game although Dortmund were seeing much more of the ball, as Jakub Blaszczykowski was brought down a couple of times early on.

The hosts started to come into the game and had an effort from range by Johannes Geis, but it was straight at Roman Weidenfeller.

Shinji Okazaki and then Elkin Soto both came close as Mainz started to ramp up the pressure mid-way through the half.

All shots were coming from outside the box and the first half, which lacked anything in the way of a cutting edge, ended goalless.
