How Borussia Dortmund could line up against Bayern Munich

Sports Mole looks at how Borussia Dortmund could line up in Saturday's Bundesliga clash with Bayern Munich.

Borussia Dortmund will be looking to stretch their lead at the top of the Bundesliga when they host the champions Bayern Munich this weekend.

Dortmund have won seven and drawn three of their 10 matches to top the division and sit four points clear of third-placed Bayern entering Saturday's mouthwatering match at the Westfalenstadion.

Lucien Favre's side will enter the match off the back of a defeat, however, having lost 2-0 at Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Here, Sports Mole takes a look at how Dortmund could line up against the German champions.

POSS DORT XI

Out: Marcel Schmelzer (Dortmund)
Doubtful: Abdou Diallo (groin)

Roman Burki will be looking to keep his fifth clean sheet of the 2018-19 Bundesliga campaign this weekend, and he will play behind a back four which should include Dan-Axel Zagadou.

Omer Toprak was preferred for the midweek Champions League clash with Atletico, but Zagadou should return alongside Manuel Akanji for this match.

Further forward, Thomas Delaney and Axel Witsel should start as the midfield two, with Marco Reus operating as the number 10.

Christian Pulisic and Jadon Sancho started wide against Atletico, and that should again be the case here, with the latter looking to add to the four Bundesliga goals he has managed this season.

Paco Alcacer, meanwhile, has eight goals in seven appearances for Dortmund this season, and the 25-year-old will start at the tip of the attack.

Jacob Bruun Larsen is another attacking option for head coach Favre, although the talented 20-year-old is expected to start on the bench.
