Lille battle back from a 4-1 deficit before losing to a stoppage time goal against Bordeaux this afternoon.

French champions Lille fought back from a 4-1 deficit against Bordeaux this afternoon, only to lose 5-4 in stoppage time.

Visiting Bordeaux opened the scoring courtesy of Nicolas Maurice-Belay in just the second minute.

However, six minutes later Lille were level thanks to former Newcastle United defender David Rozehnal.

Polish midfielder Ludovic Obraniak put Bordeaux back in front in the 17th, turning in a cross from Yoan Gouffran.

The away side continued to attack after the restart and scored two goals in quick succession through Maurice-Belay and Gouffran, to open up a three-goal advantage.

Lille refused to accept defeat though and strikes from the much sought-after Eden Hazard and defender Mathieu Debuchy brought Rudi Garcia's side to within a goal.

As the game entered stoppage time, Nolan Roux struck from inside the penalty area to bring the sides level.

The scoring was not completed though, as Obraniak turned in a cross from Gregory Sertic in the second minute of time added-on to hand his side the victory.

Match-winner Obraniak joined Bordeaux from Lille last month.
