Bolton boss Neil Lennon expects Eidur Gudjohnsen deal to go though this week

Neil Lennon expects former Chelsea star Eidur Gudjohnsen to seal his return to Bolton Wanderers before the weekend.

Bolton Wanderers manager Neil Lennon has confirmed that Eidur Gudjohnsen is likely to seal his return to the club before this weekend.

The 36-year-old, who spent two years playing for the Trotters from 1998, has been training with the Championship outfit for the last month after leaving Club Brugge earlier this year.

"I'm assuming everything's agreed," Lennon told reporters. "If there's any hold-ups it'll be a minor thing and I'm hoping to have him in the squad for the weekend."

After leaving Bolton, Gudjohnsen played for Chelsea for six years before spending three seasons at Barcelona.
